According to atomization technology, air duster guns can be divided into three types: traditional high-pressure spray guns, HVLP high-flow low-pressure spray guns, and RP low-flow medium-pressure spray guns.
Its working principle is the atomization principle: air spraying generally flows through the air nozzle of the spray gun with a working pressure of 0.3Mpa-0.6Mpa compressed air at a high flow rate, so that a partial vacuum is formed around the nozzle, and the paint is sucked into the vacuum space by the compressed air. The paint is atomized into fine droplets, which are coated on the surface of the coated part to form a continuous coating film.
And according to the feeding method. There are three types of air spray guns:
1) siphon
Siphon spray guns are widely used air spray guns. The lower end of the spray gun is equipped with a paint cup. The compressed air flows through the nozzle of the spray gun at a high speed, and a partial vacuum is generated around it, and the paint in the paint cup is sucked into the nozzle and atomized into paint droplets.
The capacity of the paint cup is usually 600mL-1000mL, which is selected according to the amount of spraying, and the spray gun can be sprayed with compressed air. The nozzle of the spray gun should not be vertically up or down to prevent the paint from leaking from the vent hole of the paint cup.
2) Gravity
The gravity spray gun is used for small workpieces and paint repairs. The upper part of it is equipped with a paint cup, which is transported down to the spray gun by the weight of the paint. According to the position of the paint cup relative to the axis of the spray gun, it is divided into central and side types. In a spray application, the central type limits the tilting position of the spray gun; the side type can be in different positions while the paint cup remains vertical. Gravity spray guns typically have a smaller capacity cup of 400-600 mL.
The gravity spray gun is convenient for color changing and cleaning and consumes less material. It is suitable for the color spraying process with frequent color changing and the two-component paint with fast curing speed.
3)pressure type
Pressure spray guns use pressure to deliver paint to the spray gun. The spray gun itself does not come with a paint cup, and the spray gun is light in weight and can be sprayed at any position and angle. It is suitable for intermittent spraying of workpieces, continuous spraying, or coating line use, with improved spraying efficiency and good coating quality.
