The main advantage of the coupler is that the signal is transmitted in one direction, the input end and the output end are completely electrically isolated, the output signal has no effect on the input end, strong anti-interference ability, stable operation, no contact, long service life, and high transmission efficiency.
(1) Application in logic circuits
The coupler can form various logic circuits. Because the anti-interference performance and isolation performance of the coupler are better than those of the transistor, the logic circuit formed by it is more reliable.
(2) As a solid switch application
In the switching circuit, it is often required to have good electrical isolation between the control circuit and the switch, which is difficult to achieve for general electronic switches, but it is easy to achieve with a coupler.
(3) Application in the trigger circuit
When the coupler is used in the bistable output circuit, the problem of isolation between the output and the load can be effectively solved because the light-emitting diodes can be connected in series to the two-tube emitter circuits respectively.
(4) Application in the pulse amplifier circuit
Couplers are used in digital circuits to amplify pulsed signals.
(5) Application in linear circuits
Linear couplers are used in linear circuits and have high linearity and excellent electrical isolation performance.
(6) Application on special occasions
Couplers can also be used in high-voltage control, replacing transformers, replacing contact relays, and in A/D circuits and other occasions.
