There are currently three types of tire valves on the market: rubber, steel, and aluminum alloys.
As the valve with the most common material, the lower cost makes the rubber valve widely assembled on the original wheel rim, and the cost of replacement in the future is also very low. However, due to the inevitable aging of the rubber material, the valve body will gradually crack, deform and lose elasticity. Another problem is the disturbance force. When a car travels 10,000 kilometers, the rubber valve is disturbed five million times, and each time it is subjected to a disturbance force of about 1.7 kg, which accelerates the aging of the rubber valve.
In order to avoid the aging problem of rubber valves, metal valves have gradually appeared on the market, and steel valves are one of them. Due to the change of material, the price of a steel valve is much higher than that of a rubber valve. The service life of the steel valve is two to three times that of the rubber valve, mainly because its metal material is not easy to be oxidized, and the metal valve also has better air tightness.
The aluminum alloy valve is also a metal valve, and its service life and air tightness are comparable to those of the steel valve, but the price has further increased.
The price of steel valve and aluminum alloy valve is more expensive, but due to the material problem, the service life of these two is much longer than that of rubber valve. But steel valves are heavier, and aluminum alloys are relatively light but also the most expensive.
